BEIJING - MUTIANYU GREAT WALL
Today's excursion takes us to the beautiful Mutianyu Great Wall (80km away from Beijing downtown), which is a superb location to appreciate the grandness of the Great Wall as well as to avoid the crowds at Badaling. It was first built in the mid-6th century during the Northern Qi. In 1569, the Mutianyu Great Wall was rebuilt and till today most parts of it are well preserved. You may choose to take the cable car (at your own expense) up & down the wall or walk up the wall.
In the afternoon, drive back to the downtown, enjoy a guided tour of the Beijing Olympic Village and take some photos of the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube from the outside. Bird Nest, also called Beijing National Stadium is a stadium in Beijing. The stadium was designed for use throughout the 2008 Summer Olympics and Paralympics and will be used again in the 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics. The Bird's Nest sometimes has some extra temporary large screens installed at the stands of the stadium.
Later, drive back to the hotel, en route you can plan for the night activities, such as foot massage, Hou Hai night bars or Sanlitun Bar Street. Enjoy your own leisure in the beautiful Beijing at night.

It is over 700 meters long and decorated with thousands of Chinese traditional paintings. Continue on to the Temple of Heaven, a World Cultural Heritage site listed by UNESCO, which was a royal site for sacrificial ceremonies.
