BEIJING ARRIVAL
Activities: Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City (Gu Gong)
Your experienced CAT guide will meet you at the capital airport. Drive to visit the Tiananmen Square, one of the largest and grandest public plazas in the world. A photo of Chairman Mao is hanging here. He proclaimed the foundation of the People’s Republic of China on a tower adjacent to the square in 1949. Enter within the imposing walls of the Forbidden City (Gu Gong) for an extensive tour through this vast complex of palaces, pavilions and courtyards. It was the royal palaces in the ancient Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1912) Dynasties, and was inhabited by 24 emperors over time. After that, transfer to the hotel. Tonight you could enjoy night life of Beijing downtown.

BEIJING
Activities: Doing Tai Chi in the Temple of Heaven, Drum Tower (Gu Lou), Hutongs and Siheyuan, Dumpling Making, Cricket Fighting, Calligraphy, Paper-Cutting, Traditional Acrobatics Show
Today you will discover most of Beijing's Imperial treasures. Get up early in the morning to visit the Temple of Heaven, a World Cultural Heritage site listed by UNESCO. It was a royal site for sacrificial ceremonies. But it is now a park, where you can witness the local people doing their unique morning exercises - Tai Chi. You may also have chance to try Tai Chi, an internal Chinese martial art practiced for its health benefits.
Then head to visit the Drum Tower (Gu Lou) dating from 1420. If it is possible, ascending the big Drum Tower, you will have a bird's eye view of the surrounding communities of Hutongs and Siheyuan from here. Afterwards, go to visit the most famous Hutongs keeping the original layout in the Shichahai area. Linger in the maze-like place to read the history and culture of Beijing. And then move on to an ordinary family courtyard home for the Dumpling Making course, and have a self-cooked lunch together. Participate in all kinds of Hutong’s cultural and traditional Games or Handcrafts including Cricket Fighting, Calligraphy, Paper-Cutting.
This evening you may go to watch a Traditional Acrobatics Show.

BEIJING - MUTIANYU GREAT WALL
Today's excursion takes us to the beautiful Mutianyu Great Wall (80km away from Beijing downtown), which is a superb location to appreciate the grandness of the Great Wall as well as to avoid the crowds at Badaling. It was first built in the mid-6th century during the Northern Qi. In 1569, the Mutianyu Great Wall was rebuilt and till today most parts of it are well preserved. The Mutianyu Great Wall has the largest construction scale and best quality among all sections of Great Wall. You may choose to take the cable car (at your own expense) up & down the wall or walk up the wall.
In the afternoon, drive back to the northeast of central Beijing, enjoy a guided tour of Art District 798. It is a site of state-owned factories, which originally produced electronics. Beginning in 2002, artists and cultural organizations began to divide, rent out, and re-make the factory spaces, gradually developing them into galleries, art centers, artists’ studios, design companies and restaurants.
Later, drive back to the hotel.

BEIJING / XI’AN
Activities: Summer Palace, Beijing Olympic Village (the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube)
This morning, we will transfer to visit the Summer Palace, located in a northwestern suburb of Beijing. It was built and served as a royal garden during the Qing Dynasty. It is now an immense park containing Chinese traditional architecture and arts. It exhibits the quintessence of the Chinese classical landscape gardening. The halls, the pavilions, the corridors, the pagodas, the bridges and the water were elaborately arranged. The long Corridor is one of the most exquisite structures in the garden. It is over 700 meters long and decorated with thousands of Chinese traditional paintings.
After lunch, drive to visit the Beijing Olympic Village to take some photos of the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube from the outside. Bird Nest, also called Beijing National Stadium is a stadium in Beijing. The stadium was designed for use throughout the 2008 Summer Olympics and Paralympics and will be used again in the 2022 Winter Olympics and Paralympics. The Bird's Nest sometimes has some extra temporary large screens installed at the stands of the stadium.
At the end of today’s tour, drive to Beijing West Railway Station to take an overnight train to Xi’an, one of the ancient capital cities in China.

Activities: Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, Cycling Tour along the Ancient City Wall
We will have a full morning tour to visit the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses Museum (Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum). The Emperor Qinshihuang’s underground army is ready for your inspection, during which time knowledge about the ancient science of war will seep into your mind. It is one of the most important archaeological finds in the 20th century, an army of life-size terracotta warriors and the bronze chariots entombed in vast underground vaults at Emperor Qin's tomb since 2500 year ago. We will find not one, but thousands of clay soldiers, each with unique facial expressions and positioned according to rank. UNESCO listed it in 1987 as one of the world cultural heritages.
In the afternoon, begins our Cycling Tour along the Ancient City Wall, the best-kept and biggest city walls in China. The original foundation was based on the ruins of the Imperial City Wall of Chang’an City, the capital of the Tang Dynasty. Though the wall has been entirely renovated, it still resonates with history.

Activities: Shaanxi History Museum, the Great Mosque, the Muslim Quarter
After breakfast, pay a visit to the Shaanxi History Museum, featuring over 370,000 ancient relics made between time immemorial and 1840. As it displays a time line here, your professional tour guide will help you soak up the history and culture of China during your stay in the museum. Leave the museum and head to the Great Mosque, which covers an area of 12300 square meters. The mosque is an Islamic architecture influenced by Chinese culture. It is a great pleasure to admire the combination. Then it is a short journey to the Muslim Quarter, where you can take a stroll and buy some exquisite souvenirs or try the local snacks. Alcoholic beverages are forbidden in the Islamic restaurants.
Finish the tour and then relax in your comfortable vehicle during the drive to the airport, where you will flight to Zhangjiajie.

ZHANGJIAJIE - WULINGYUAN SCENIC AREA
Activities: Tianzi Mountain, Yuanjiajie Nature Reserve
Today you are arranged to visit Wulingyuan Scenic Area for a whole day including the highlights of Tianzi Mountain and Yuanjiajie Nature Reserve. Wulingyuan is a UNESCO World Heritage site noted for its lush vegetation, unique sandstone pillars, pristine waters and a wide variety of flora and fauna.
After being fully refreshed in your hotel, drive to Wulingyuan Scenic Area. We wil first take a cable car to the best view terraces on the mind-blowing Tianzi Mountain, whose weird stones and peaks make you feel like you are delving into the magical world of the movie “Avatar”. Unlike Avatar, the views of Tianzi Mountain are all masterworks of nature. And then, take the world’s highest Outdoor Elevator Bailong to Yuanjiajie Nature Reserve, where you can continue your Avatar dream. It is a naturally formed platform mountain, surrounded by higher summits which are divided by deep valleys. Added to this scene is an array of amazing lesser peaks and grotesque rocks.

ZHANGJIAJIE - WULINGYUAN SCENIC AREA
Activities: Yangjiajie, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park
After breakfast, spend most of the day still sightseeing in Wulingyuan Scenic Area including the Yangjiajie and Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Yangjiajie, a newly found dainty nature reserve after Zhangjiajie, Suoxi Valley and Tianzi Mountain, is located in the northwestern part of Zhangjiajie, adjacent to Mountain Tianzi. Then visit the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park within the Wulingyuan. Zhangjiajie Forest Park has more than 3000 surprising pillar-like formations pulling out from earth and seen throughout the park. First take elevator up to Huangshi Fort to have a high view of the park - a huge painting of Chinese beautiful landscape.
After the tour, drive back to the city of Zhangjiajie and have a rest of this day.

Activities: Tianmen Mountain
After breakfast, drive to the Tianmen Mountain, which is renowned for the Tianmen Cave. The cave is 131.5 meters high and 57 meters wide. It is believed visitors, who reach the cave will get good luck. Brave tourists are recommended to walk and pose for photos on the 1430-meter high glass plank on the Mountain. The round-trip cable car will save your transportation time and physical strength for sightseeing.
Later, your tour guide and driver will transfer you to the Zhangjiajie airport and help you board your flight to Shanghai after the tour.

2. The visiting order of the scenic spots in the itinerary may change according to the traffic condition and other unforeseen things.
3. Tourist insurance is a must before going, please provide us the confirmation of insurance company when sign up.

Payment conditions
To confirm your reservation, you must pay a deposit of 30% of the total amount due via the payment link that your local agent will share. The balance is due 30 days prior to departure. The quoted exchange rate is valid for the next 7 days – if the deposit is not paid within this time, the quote will be re-calculated.
Terms and conditions for cancelation
i. Cancellation of the Tour by CAT (local agent):
CAT reserve the right to cancel the postpone tour at any time up to the date final payment is due under the following condition: in our opinion, health and/or safety factors related to conditions in China would make the tour inadvisable. And in this case, all money paid by the participants will be refunded. If the tour is postponed, CAT will offer all those who have signed up the opportunity to have the same tour for a later time, but the price may be changed according to the season. We will notify you of any change, and give you a reasonable period
of time to make your decision. Consumers may, but are under no obligation to, take the tour under these new terms. After final payment has been made, we may cancel the tour only if, in our opinion, health and/or safety factors related to conditions in China would make the tour inadvisable. Since cancellation in this case involves factors which may arise suddenly and are entirely outside our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, civil unrest and epidemic disease, we cannot guarantee a full refund in this case. This is because payment will already have been made to finalize the arrangements and reservation.
ii. Cancellation of the Tour by Consumer:
Any cancellation must be made by sending an email to the local agent. The cancellation fee varies according to how many days prior to departure the cancellation is made:
· More than 30 days prior to departure: 5% of the total holiday cost
· Between 30 and 22 days prior to departure : 25% of the total holiday cost
· Between 21 and 8 days prior to departure : 50% of the total holiday cost
· Between 7 and 3 days prior to departure : 75% of the total holiday cost
· Less than 3 days prior to departure and after the departure date: 100% of the total holiday cost
All cancellations must be in writing and will be effective upon receipt by CAT. No refund will be made to those participants who break the journey regardless of the portions of the package unused. If, owing to serious illness or injury, the participant withdraws from the tour, a refund will be subject to the consent of the local travel agent.
No refund will be made to those participants who have failed to secure valid travel documents such as passport or visas.
