Map & Itinerary

Our incredible 14-days Yunnan Adventures in Shangri-la and Lijiang will offer participants a wonderful experience of some of the finest cultural heritage sites and spectacular landscapes this region of China can offer – including experience with Yunnan snub-nose monkeys!

Our itinerary begins with a visit to  Lijiang, including its historic ‘old town’ which was registered as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997. As we move on, we will see  the inspiring Tiger Leaping Gorge which is one of the finest natural attractions in the region. We then visit the city of Zhongdian (also referred to more popularly as Shangri-la) and this will offer you an incredible insight into Tibetan culture that dates back several centuries. The tour has been designed to include a number of excellent stopovers (including a number of authentic Tibetan villages) that utilize a range of local hostels, guesthouses, restaurants and businesses that help us ensure that we remain harmonious with the needs of local communities and the environment. Along our way we will encounter the magnificent Meili Snow Mountain and be offered spectacular views that will be difficult to forget.

An undoubted highlight is our stay at Yubeng village, which will act as the perfect platform to explore the landscapes of the Mount Kawagebo glacier, the Meikong River, and the beautiful Sacred Waterfall. Our itinerary concludes with our modern city Shanghai.
